Blasphemy is truly a victimless crime. And since blasphemy against the "holy spirit" is the only non-forgivable sin - even to new testament adherents - allow me to be perfectly clear. I willingly commit that sin against the (non-existent) celestial northern korea-like dictatorship. I knowingly blaspheme against the "holy spirit". I am the dick in God's ass! So, no heaven for me. I've just damned myself to an eternity of hell, per the documentation. Now you can feel all superior or pity or whatever.
a demonstration of the blind faith some people choose to put in science.
It's a parody of Vinci's painting. I'm not sure what you mean by blind faith. Science fucking works. Prayer doesn't.
Science has actually cured the blind. Trust me, If I could get away with praying for better vision instead of wearing corrective lenses, I would. But prayer only leaves me with blurred vision and science actually corrects my vision. Therefore I choose science. If prayer worked, I would like it more, but it simply doesn't work. Science does work. Quite the opposite of blind faith.
