Thanks for sharing. :)

The first is quite striking. I really like the second one!

That second one is thought provoking.

Thought-provoking, indeed.

Although I can't say I am fully against the use of security cameras. Our university had very few security cameras but were forced to put them up inside and outside the building after people's rooms were getting broken-into and their year's worth of work (on laptops) stolen. Sometimes I wish our neighbourhood elementary school would use cameras around the back and quarters, It's a very urban school, with full of corners which might seem fun for the kid's to explore, but seems really, really unsafe... I swear there are needles and stuff back there. Sometimes when I pass by afterschool, I see the shadiest characters hanging around while the children are playing by themselves afterschool. Actually, I'd rather have people put in there to supervise the kids.

Of course it's all quite Orwellian-esque. I think I am more against the mis-use of security, but then again, when the information is available you don't know who is going to use or misuse it. I think the trick is to establish that fine balance between security and privacy.

I totally get off on social commentary with postmodern undertones. Hot.

Me too. Aren't they great?

[identity profile] bravest-unsaid.livejournal.com 2006-04-18 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Absolutely.

On a more vapid note, I want a t-shirt that says "This is a meta-narrative."

Hahaha! With back wards text to read it in a mirror.

What are you talking about - you think all the time.

I am sure of it.

YOu don't need no stinking bansky!

How would I remember to go to democracy now without your gentle guidance?

You make ME think - you are my bansky - deal with it.
