Witness the Bush Body Count

Video evidence has surfaced that reveals Bush was warned in no uncertain terms of a levee breech before the hurricane hit land and also warned that FEMA was not prepared to handle the "grave" situation.
"I want to make absolutely clear to everyone that the greatest potential for large loss of live is in the coastal areas"

[...]

"We're going to need everything that we can possibly muster, not only in this state and in the region, but the nation, to respond to this event," Brown warned. He called the storm "a bad one, a big one" and implored federal agencies to cut through red tape to help people, bending rules if necessary. "Go ahead and do it," [Mike] Brown said. "I'll figure out some way to justify it. ... Just let them yell at me.""

[...]

Max Mayfield, head of the National Hurricane Center, said during a briefing there was "very, very grave concern" that New Orleans' levees could be topped by Katrina.
What did Bush do with these warnings and appeals for help?   He a.) ignored them. and b.) lied about ever receiving them.   He knew people were going to be dying in the streets. When the dying people were screaming for help from their rooftops, Bush lied about it.
"I don't think anybody anticipated the breech of the levees" - George W. Bush, four days after Hurricane Katrina devestated the people of New Orleans
It's past time to storm the white house and arrest that incompetent murderous liar.

Couldn't believe he didn't know, now we are certain. What a heartless asshole.

Negligent homicide comes to mind.

I wonder, what is it going to take. The American people are astonishingly accepting.

His party target a group of people who believe weird shit for no good reason and turned them into Republican's. All you need to mislead a Christian is to turn up on Sunday and say you have God on your side, after that then can slide quietly into sheep mode and get on with Believing.

There's a sheeple steeple joke in there somewhere.

Dawkins special talked a bit about Ted Haggard, evangelical Christian, who has close ties to Bush. That's was pretty freaky to me.

Did you hear about the SF city supervisors resolution to Impeach Bushigula?

I realize most of the country say, "well that's san francisco for ya", but every pin prick in the bush ballon counts.

Hope others follow suit.

They're discussing the video on the BBC as I write this.

When is somebody going to impeach ?

Or arrest. I mean, how much are we willing to take before we say "no more, pull out"!

I think most of the people affected by Katrina already knew he knew. We've had, obviously, smaller weather disasters for years, and the Levee has been a source of concern for as long as I can remember. Seeing how previous administrations handled these types of emergencies, and seeing what happened with Katrina really opened some people's eyes.

Oh and by the way, glad you are feeling better. Kinda late, but I hadn't been reading LJ lately.

The fastest selling magazine at work right now is this one

http://www.harpers.org/MostRecentCover.html

This may not seem like much, but it's the aged and monied that are ripping the thing off the shelves.

I feel like we are in the eye of the storm.
