The dismal cold ... desert cold, wind-driven freezing rain cold ... so much misery.

I just got a long email from a cyber-friend who takes care of orphaned kids in South Africa ... my neck is too cramped right now, but I'll post some of it tomorrow; her spirit is ummmm indomitable.
