My fathers war. Everyone he killed deserved it. He didn't see their faces. Mostly.
Sometimes he saw their families. We should have bombed the dikes and starved them out.
Kerry knew this war. Kerry told the truth. We vilified him.
We rejected a veteran who told us a truth we do not wish to hear.
We blamed the messenger.

"''the moralistic majority is going to go down in history.''

Mmmmmm?
I'm thinking that this moment, which could be a water-shed, will be very well documented.
Can't you see it? "The Dementing of a Nation"
Dust to dust ... true, foundational, but I think something a tad more up-lifting is called for.

Great lyrics; love the CDs you sent me.
