Religion is going to do it. For all of us, the world over. Might not happen at once, but it will happen one by one. History is clear on that.

I'm re-reading the People's History of the United States of America (Howard Zinn) and am struck by how time and time again, religion is the impetus, rationale, and justification for the most egregious evils ever committed by mankind...so I agree. If this world is truly doomed, it will be in the name of religion.
