Four more US soldiers died today as a result of Iraqi roadside bombs.
The first was killed this morning in Baqouba. Two others were wounded in the attack.
Later, two GIs were killed and one wounded in Habbaniyah.
Another soldier died from wounds suffered from an earlier bomb attack.

And Israeli soldiers killed five Palestinian soldiers "gunman" in W. Bank.

I'd stop reading this awful news and live while I still can, but dammit, its happening to our brothers and sisters
and we are connected to them. If we do not help, the same will assuredly someday happen to us, again.

Hell, it is happening to us. Witness Spain, ~200 dead, 1,300 wounded, or thereabouts.
A Primer on the ETA.

Not sure who did this, ETA, al-Qaida, or whoever, but its is an unjust and horrific crime.
No more killing.

Update: Curiously, there are 911 days between 09/11/2001 and 03/10/2004. Coincidence?
It doesn't really matter if it was ETA or AL-Qaidea. Human beings did this, and in that way, we did it.

I read that article. Surely it should be "And Israeli soldiers killed five Palestinian terrorists in W. Bank."

I don't know, but you have deliberately mis-quoted the article you link to:

JENIN (Reuters) - Israeli troops shot dead five Palestinian gunmen in the West Bank city of Jenin Wednesday, Palestinian witnesses and Israeli security sources said.

All five were identified by Palestinian witnesses as members of the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed group in Palestinian President Yasser Arafat's Fatah faction.

Israeli security sources said soldiers conducting a sweep for militants shot Palestinians aiming guns at Israeli forces. Israel Radio said the forces intercepted the gunmen on their way to carry out an attack at a nearby Jewish settlement.

Four gunmen were killed in the initial incident and a fifth died of wounds shortly afterwards.

They're described as gunmen. I'm curious to know why you call them soldiers, last time I looked "Palestine" didn't have an army.

Dear someone.

I am allowed to paraphrase news reports in my journal.

> I'm curious to know why you call them soldiers,
> last time I looked "Palestine" didn't have an army.

Your statement is in the form of a question. I hear your point.

You mere curiousity does not motivate my reply to your "question".

I asked you to identify yourself out of curiousity and you have declined. I see no reason to behave any differently.

I do sometimes tend to use the term "street soldier" to refer to gang members who fight and kill with weapons.
