Terry Gross interviewed Michael Moore on Fresh air today. You can listen online.

They discuss many things, including the Sinclair anti-Kerry film controversy. Recall that the same Sinclair refused to broadcast ABC's roll call of 700 dead soldiers earlier this year.

Democracy Now! conducted an interview with a Sinclair VP (ex-CIA, ahem...) over their broadcast:

We speak with Mark Hyman, Vice President for Corporate Relations at Sinclair Broadcast Group, which created an uproar last week when plans surfaced it ordered its 62 TV stations to pre-empt regular prime-time programming in favor of airing what many call an anti-Kerry film. Before working for Sinclair, Hyman served as an officer in Naval Intelligence and did work for the Central Intelligence Agency.
Hyman uses most of the interview to smear John Kerry and portray his 1971 senate testimony as an attack upon veterans. Given the obvious smear campaign, it could be helpful to simply listen to Kerry's 1971 testimony for yourself. Here is the 05/03/1971 senate testimony of John Kerry:

After returning from the Vietnam War, John Kerry became a prominent critic of the war. He testified before the Senate in 1971 and told of atrocities being committed by U.S. troops. He called for the immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops. And he asked: "How do you ask a man to be the last man to die in Vietnam? How do you ask a man to be the last man to die for a mistake?" We broadcast a rare recording of this historic address from the Pacifica Radio Archives.

Decide for yourself.
