Goodbye Tim
Nov. 24th, 2006 07:42 amI was sharing a potluck Thanksgiving meal with my friends. Tim & Kim (husband and wife) had prepared turkey.
We shared an evening. Laughing, feeding, and enjoying each others energy. Tim had not been feeling well the last couple of weeks and he joked about getting an aneurysm and dying. He wasn't looking right, his color was pale and he was quieter than usual. Tim has taken care of Kim for the last two years after she suffered a severe injury to her leg. Tim has been a heroic nurse to her during recent hard times. Tonight, he looked like he was ill himself. Around 9pm Tim and Kim left for home.
Tim went home and collapsed. Kim called paramedics and they pronounced him dead shortly after arriving.
Kim is in tears. Its so hard to believe. One second we were laughing, hugging, and sharing a meal, the next second he has slipped away.
One second Kim is a wife, the next a widow. I am stunned. I don't have much else to say.
