water is wet, blood is red, war is hell
May. 30th, 2006 10:48 pmThe ongoing horror within the occupation that Bush built included more waves of car bombings and attacks, slain journalists, soldiers, and civilians. I can't seem to write much about any of that now, however I do want to point out that the Haditha massacre isn't an isolated incident. The media is (thankfully) focused upon it for the time being, however it is not an isolated incident. It was entirely predictable if not predicted, it was tragic, but it was far from unique. Families are slain at checkpoints, even children. Civilian children have their flesh torn from their bones by bombs from the sky. Thousands of Iraqis we're slain during the second seige upon Falluja. Haditha is not an isolated incident. I loathe witnessing such crimes minimalized (like Abu Gharib), the problem isn't minimal, it is systemic to our clinically sick war culture.
