Where are my grave dancing shoes?:
"Richard G. Butler, the notorious white supremacist who founded the Aryan Nations and was once dubbed the “elder statesman of American hate,” has died at the age of 86, authorities said wednesday."
Now he is a rotting slimeball. A fitting end.

Sadly, to some Americans the death and killing that is War is to be mocked:

The US led invasion and violent occupation of Iraq began in March 2003.

After 11 days of "shock and awe" bombing, the civilian body count in Iraq had reached at least 1,027 killed and 2,879 wounded. Over one thousand Iraqi civilians dead in just 11 days. After the first 50 days, at least 1,995 Iraqi civilians were dead, and 4959 wounded. (data source)

Today, Iraq Body Count reports that at least 12,000 Iraqi civilians have been killed, and other sources report the real number is three times that amount. Unless the coalition forces kill only civilians, I suspect some Iraqi soldiers have been slain as well, although as US General Tommy Franks coldly boasted, "We (the U$A) don't do body counts". Presuming a ratio of 50% civilians and 50% soldiers gives us a total of 24,000 slain, but I suspect there are more. On April 9th, 2003, the day the Saddam statue came down in Baghdad, at the briefing General Franks to the NSC estimated that there had been 30,000 Iraqi soldiers killed in battle. This is in a country of 25 million roughly the size of California.

Despite the US Press putting soldier deaths in Bush's war on the back pages, I did hear tale that, 1,005+ American soldiers are dead, never to serve anyone ever again. Several thousand troops have been wounded, and are just as unable to serve, and sadly now a burden to their families. ABC news reports that as of last August, over 12,000 Iraq battlefield casualties (US troops) have required hospitalization. Thousands more will only have PTSD. 1,100 soldiers wounded last August alone. The daily casualty rate for coalition personnel thus far during 2004 is more than twice what it was in 2003.

Know that the people of Iraq are suffering much greater casualities. In the recent three week standoff in Najaf, the number of CIVILIANS reported killed is 950, and another 1570 were injured. If you need a visual aid to assist you with the comparison between the Iraqi losses vs. the US losses, check this out.

We must all keep our Eyes Wide Open.
