If you haven't yet registered to vote, please do. It is our right, privilege, and duty to vote.

The deadline isn't for a few months. (See your states registration deadline here)

Here is an easy to use registration site, just pick your state.

If you prefer not to register online, download and print this PDF voter registration form, fill it out and mail it in.

Its very important that we vote. The United States of America is the most powerful nation on the planet
so the government is intimately connected with the planets fate. Which means our asses are on the line.
If we don't vote, we will lose our right to do so. Not to mention losing our asses!

Given all the talk about the charred bodies and which side shows what images of whose suffering, I thought to bring attention to a very good 30 minute documentary:

The effect of media on democracy: Amy Goodman's "Independent Media in a Time of War".

To end, here is Bill Moyers excellent speech on the media.

"Journalist Bill Moyers recently gave the keynote address before 2,000 people at the first ever National Conference on Media Reform. He warned, "What we’re talking about is nothing less than rescuing a democracy that is so polarized it is in danger of being paralyzed and pulverized. Alarming words, I know. But the realities we face should trigger alarms. Free and responsible government by popular consent just can't exist without an informed public."

Bill Moyers, host of the weekly PBS news program "Now with Bill Moyers", speaking at the National Confernence on Media Reform in Madison, Wisc.
